My name is Sarah Parvaresh and I am the Communications and Operations Intern at PeopleFund for the Fall of 2015. I am a Radio-Television-Film major at the University of Texas at Austin with a focus on Media Studies. I am interested in understanding problems that affect different types of people and how to use communication skills to solve them.
I fell in love with the city of Austin as soon as I moved here and plan to stay as long as possible. I have a passion for helping people however I can and supporting non-profits is a great way to do that. I was drawn to PeopleFund because I commute by the building frequently and decided to learn more about it. I heard nothing but positive things about the company while researching it. During my interview, I felt so welcomed and encouraged to explore the business that I immediately accepted the internship and I am so grateful I did. I enjoy learning more about how non-profits operate and working with everyone here. I feel that my coworkers and I are making a difference in our community and helping clients fulfill their dreams.
