Hi! My name is Ineye (IN-NAY-YAY) Komonibo, and I’m the spring ‘15 Development & Communications intern here at 
PeopleFund. I’m a senior Public Relations/Black Studies major at the University of Texas at Austin who loves all things Beyoncé, hip hop, and pop culture.
What initially drew me towards PeopleFund was its unique mission. It is hard to find organizations that are sincerely devoted to uplifting groups of people who have been under served, but PeopleFund has made service and community empowerment its charge. I’m thankful for the chance to work with an organization that aims to provide assistance as well as education in order to directly improve the quality of life in the area.
I hope to gain a lot of experience doing a variety of things here at PeopleFund, but I’m most excited about getting to know clients and being part of their stories. I believe that creating opportunities for economic advancement will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the lives of these small business owners and their families, and I can’t wait to be able to play a role in that.
