Women’s History Month Client Spotlight: Apirra Abstract and Title

Founded by Kenisha Natividad, Apirra Abstract & Title is a title company in Boerne, Texas, that aims to provide their clients with the amazing experience of achieving and witnessing the “American dream” of homeownership.

Kenisha decided to start Apirra Abstract & Title after closing on her own home and having a lackluster experience. She knew she wanted to better this process for others, and after receiving her law degree, Kenisha shifted her focus to the title industry. As a woman of color, she is a great representative for many women hoping to rise up in a male-dominated industry.

Apirra Abstract & Title is inspired by the word “apirra” which means “to bring generational progression to life.” Its mission is to bring about this generational progression by supporting clients in purchasing a home and taking the next step toward their futures. They specialize in performing title and lien searches, clearing title defects, requesting estoppels, preparing loan documents, and coordinating closings.  To further make a difference in their community, Apirra Abstract & Title also donates a portion of closing proceeds to local nonprofit partners in Kendall County each month.

As a start-up born during the pandemic, Apirra Abstract & Title needed working capital, so Kenisha sought out PeopleFund for assistance. After graduating from PeopleFund’s BIPOC Small Business Accelerator, Kenisha was able to receive a loan from PeopleFund, along with a 2% interest rate reduction with the support of the Tory Burch Foundation and Bank of America Capital Program. This assistance has allowed Kenisha to help people in the Boerne area close on their real estate transactions and live the “American dream.”
