PeopleFund Welcomes Korea WEST Fellows

Hyunjeong and Sooyeon joined the PeopleFund in December 2017, each as an Accounting intern and a Marketing intern. They are fellows from South Korea, who are participants of ‘Korea WEST’ program.
(The ‘Korea WEST’ exchange program, which is supported by Korea Ministry of Education, provides South Korean university students and young professionals the opportunity to intern and explore the culture of the United States.)

Hyungeong Kee
In her role, Hyungeong assists the finance team with sending emails to vendors and clients, running NLS program to enter in transactional information. She also updates signed documents and handles loan closing documents. She graduated Hanbat National University in Korea with a Bachelor in Business and Accounting. She got 2year’s experience in office duties when she was in Korea, as a business assistant at her university’s academic office. She also worked at her university’s library for 6months as an assistant of foreign affairs. Hyungeong set her goal in PeopleFund to learn accounting softwares and financial works for her future career in accounting field. Outside of the office, she enjoys watching movies, volunteering, and working out.

Sooyeon Lim
In her role as a marketing intern at Advancement and Education team, she supports her team members with social media graphics, information searching and organizing duties. She graduated Pusan National University with a Bachelor in Business, and Film as a double major. Prior to joining PeopleFund, she worked at a fashion start-up company Bicicletta as a marketing staff and interned at an animation studio Vandal’s PR team. She enjoyed engaging in eco-related social projects in Korea as well. Sooyeon plans to get a corporate job in marketing, especially for the financial field. She wants to promote her understanding of marketing during her internship at PeopleFund. Outside of the office, she enjoys riding bicycle, going to the movies and writing short novels.
