PeopleFund congratulates two PeopleVet graduates on their recognition in Veterepreneur magazine

The June 2014 issue of Veterepreneur features successful PeopleVet partners and graduates Charmane Sellers and Marylyn Harris. Sellers is President of ALEON Properties Inc., a commercial residential and government construction firm. Harris is President of Harrland Healthcare Consulting, a healthcare management consulting firm in Houston. Both women completed PeopleFund’s PeopleVet program and used the tools and resources provided to grow their respective businesses.

ALEON Properties Inc. profits to fund entrepreneurship for veterans. Sellers participated through PeopleFund in the Woman Veteran Entrepreneur Corps program and is a 2013 Awardee.

Marylyn Harris

Marylyn Harris

Harris served as a nurse in the U.S. Army from 1981 to 1992 and is a veteran of the Gulf War. She holds advanced degrees in nursing and business administration, and has worked in the healthcare industry for 35 years. As president of Harrland, Harris works with clients ranging from individuals to corporations, including non-profit and government entities. Her client list includes the Department of Veteran Affairs, the Department of the Air Force and the Army Corps of Engineers. Harris was honored at the White House as a Champion of Change along with 13 women veterans.

Harris founded the Women Veterans Business Center in 2013 with a desire to serve the thousands of women veterans in Texas. The WVBC is the first and only online portal dedicated to providing information for women veterans and their families who are starting or operating a small business.
