PeopleFund Celebrates Grand Opening in Laredo
Nonprofit Small Business Lender opens doors to provide capital and education to South Texas entrepreneurs
Laredo, Texas – On February 27th, PeopleFund held a Grand Opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony to mark their 8th location within the Mile One Incubator. In attendance were strategic partners, including the Laredo Chamber of Commerce, the TAMIU Small Business Development Center, area financial institutions, local entrepreneurs, and PeopleFund staff.
PeopleFund is a nonprofit small business lender offering a wide range of affordable small business loans with a focus on minorities, women, veterans, and low income entrepreneurs. The organization’s mission is to create economic opportunity and financial stability for underserved people through access to capital, education, and resources to build healthy small businesses.
“We are humbled by the way the Laredo community has welcomed us,” said Gary Lindner, President & CEO. “Our local team is ready to make the American Dream a reality here in Laredo,” he continued.

PeopleFund also announced a date for PeopleSpring, their hallmark women’s networking luncheon and panel discussion, for August 16th from 11:30am – 1:00pm at Mile One. Registration, which is free and is inclusive of lunch, is available at peoplefund.org.
