PeopleFund announces Houston PeopleVET Community Information Session

PeopleVet-EducationPeopleFund’s pioneer veteran entrepreneur program, PeopleVET, continues to grow to multiple Texas markets to best serve our state’s heroes as they transition from service to small business. We will host a public information session to share the details of this comprehensive learning and lending program at a forum on August 27th at the Houston Federal Reserve.

With over 1.6 veterans in Texas and thousands relocating each year, we have seen a growing need to assist veterans as they enter the civilian workforce. No other organization provides Veterans with access to every resource necessary to jump-start their own business.

The PeopleVET program features mentorship, classroom instruction, and a upon completion of the program, access to a flat, 5% interest rate loan. The three month curriculum focuses on personal credit, business plan development, financial management, accounting, sales, and marketing.

We invite all veteran entrepreneurs to come to the information session at the Houston Federal Reserve Bank, On August 27th, from 9:30am to 11. This session will be a great opportunity for veterans to learn how our programs and services can help them and their business grow. If you are a Texas veteran entrepreneur, we would love to see you there. Please RSVP here ([email protected]), if you are planning to attend the information session.

Across Texas veterans have taken steps towards successful entrepreneurship.. Twenty-five veteran entrepreneurs graduated last year, and we expect to graduate more than 100 this year. PeopleVET was made possible thanks to our partners, including the University of Houston, the Entrepreneur Center of Central Texas, Texas State Small Business Development Center, South-West Texas Border Small Business Development Center Network and the Lone Star College System.
