La primera sesión del programa Emprende se llevó a cabo este mes. Emprende es un nuevo programa ofrecido por PeopleFund completamente en español que ofrece a los participantes la oportunidad de prepararse para un préstamo. Durante las primeras cuatro horas, los participantes aprendieron sobre administración financiera, y fueron guiados al realizar su propio presupuesto personal y libro de contabilidad. Durante las últimas cuatro horas, los participantes aprendieron sobre las Cinco C’s de crédito y la manera correcta de presentar una solicitud de préstamo commercial
“Fue muy motivador ver el interés de los participantes. Hubo muchas veces que ellos no querían irse, porque estaban aprediendo mucho y comentaron que estaba resultando beneficioso. También fue una gran oportunidad para interactuar con la comunidad Hispana” dijo Beatriz Pappas, oficial de préstamos de PeopleFund

The first session of Emprende took place this month, a new program offered by PeopleFund entirely in Spanish. The Emprende program offered participants the opportunity to prepare for a loan. In the first four hours, participants learned about financial management, and were guided through the process of making a personal budget and ledger. During the last four hours, participants learned about the Five C’s of credit and the correct way to submit a business loan application.
“It was very motivating to see the interest of the participants. There were many times the participants didn’t want to leave because they were learning so much and said it was beneficial. It was also a great chance to interact with the Hispanic community,” said PeopleFund Senior Loan Officer Beatriz Pappas.
