An 8-Week Virtual Program Helping Small Businesses Prepare for Loans and Access Grant Funding
The Travis County Small Business Accelerator is an 8-week, cohort-based program designed to help small businesses in Travis County strengthen operations, improve financial readiness, and prepare to qualify for a business loan.
Participants receive expert-led education, one-on-one coaching, and hands-on support, with the opportunity to earn up to $5,000 in grant funding upon Accelerator completion and loan approval.
Who Qualifies?
This accelerator is for for-profit small businesses that:
- Are located in Travis County, Texas (Outside Austin City Limits)
- Began business operations before March 1, 2019
- Must complete all loan application requirements
- Can commit to 8 consecutive weeks of online workshops with 3-4 one-on-one coaching sessions
- Attend all 8 sessions of the accelerator
What You’ll Receive
- Weekly virtual group business development training workshops
- One-on-one coaching with experienced business advisors
- Support with financial statements, cash flow, and financial projections
- Loan readiness support and application support for a loan starting at $3K
- A clear, actionable business plan
- Eligibility for up to $5,000 in grant funding
Program Commitment
- Length: 8 weeks
- Format: Weekly workshops + individual coaching
- Virtual workshops: Every Tuesday from 11 AM -1 PM CDT
- Time commitment: 3-5 hours per week
Participants must actively take part in the program and complete required steps to prepare for applying for a loan.
Grant Opportunity
Businesses that complete the accelerator and are approved for a loan through PeopleFund will receive a grant of up to $5,000 that can be used for equity injection or any business purpose.
