Austin Community Foundation Education Endowment Fund Supports PeopleFund

PeopleFund is proud to announce that we were recently awarded a grant of $7,000 by the Austin Community Foundation. Funds will be used in support of our ongoing efforts to elevate women entrepreneurs throughout Central Texas, including our mentorship, technical assistance, financial literacy, business education, networking, and access to capital programs.

“We are excited to grow our relationship with both Austin Community Foundation and the local women who need our services,” said Amber Cooney, Director of Development and Communications for PeopleFund. “Funds from Austin Community Foundation will provide the additional resources we need to help women compete in today’s changing business climate.”

Thank you to Austin Community Foundation and the Education Endowment Fund for approving this generous grant. We look forward to working together to inspire, educate, fund, and elevate women entrepreneurs on the path to prosperity and the American dream.

About Austin Community Foundation

The Austin Community Foundation fosters an ecosystem of philanthropy to create meaningful change in Austin. We do so by providing efficient and effective giving tools for donors, impactful grants for nonprofits and collaborative leadership around the most pressing needs in our community. Through the generosity and vision of our donors, past and present, we granted more than $20 million in 2014, mostly through donor advised funds. Founded in 1977, we are the third largest charitable foundation in Central Texas by grants distributed. Through our long-term investment strategies we create assets for tomorrow while building a community of givers today. www.austincf.org
