Press Release: Gail Warrior to be Featured Speaker of PeopleTalk Entrepreneur Education Series

Warrior Elements CEO, philanthropist, to headline Aug. 5 PeopleFund event geared toward local entrepreneurs

Gail W bio Long-04142015DALLAS, Texas – July 24, 2015– Giving back to the community has long been a tenet of Gail Warrior’s business acumen. So it comes as no surprise that the CEO and founder of Warrior Elements, a luxury active-wear brand, and CEO and founder of Warrior Construction, a leading minority- and woman-owned general contractor, will be the featured speaker at the Aug. 5 PeopleTalk Entrepreneur Education Series in Dallas.

The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the PeopleFund Dallas Office, 2801 Swiss Ave. Suite 120, and offers a unique opportunity to learn from successful entrepreneurs and community leaders.

Warrior, an entrepreneur, nationally-recognized speaker, philanthropist and fitness enthusiast, will share her unique business journey—everything from lessons learned to professional advice—at the lunchtime session. She will also answer questions from the audience, which might focus on anything from how to maintain a work/life balance to scaling and growing a business.

“This event is a tremendous opportunity for small business owners to hear lessons learned, be inspired and learn from a community leader who has been where they are before,” said Warrior.  “I am always honored to share my story and to offer advice to those in the community who may not have access to this level of business insight or advice.”

Prior to starting Warrior Elements, Warrior founded Warrior Construction in 1997, a commercial general contractor headquartered in Dallas. She led the company into one of the largest woman/minority-owned construction firms in the U.S. and one of the country’s leading experts in permanent modular construction. Warrior and Warrior Construction won more than 45 national, regional and local awards, including the coveted Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award.

In 2007, Warrior founded Heart of a Warrior Charitable Foundation to provide educational opportunities to underserved children in Dallas County. Additionally, she created the Warrior Women’s Mentoring group in 2010 to help empower women in business and mentor them in their careers.

In addition to Warrior, the PeopleTalk Entrepreneur Speaker Series has welcomed several accomplished entrepreneurs, including Patrick Terry, Founder & CEO, P.Terry’s Burger Stand; Tim League, Founder, Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas; Evan Smith, Former Editor of Texas Monthly Magazine and Editor of Texas Tribune; and Dr. Mohammad Yumus, Grameen Bank and Nobel Prize winner.
