About the Presenter

Hamid Yazdanpanah got his start in the retail grocery business in the mid-2000s, but found a love for video production and marketing on the side. Creating a role as the host of a local television show on Channel Austin, he turned that technical and public figure knowledge into a small local production company shooting TV commercials and music videos. Going from being in front of the camera to now behind it, the digital video marketing space was opening, yet many local businesses did not see the immediate ROI on it, and he felt stuck.

Eventually moving into a retail leadership position, he finally decided to launch Stumpy’s in the Summer of 2015 with all of the pricing, strategy, campaign and retail marketing skills he learned. A local dessert company which can now be found in restaurants, C-stores, special events, corporate pop-ups and even a 20-foot dessert trailer.

Now, as the business continues to grow, he shares his experiences and knowledge as a SCORE mentor in this workshop to current or aspiring entrepreneurs looking to turn their hobby into a business.
