Getting Down to Business with Capital One and the Dallas SBDC

 PROGRAM DETAILS

“Getting Down to Business (GDTB)” is a free 7-month, in-depth curriculum based series designed to address the core needs of business owners and help them grow. Developed by Capital One Bank and local partners in 2009, the program accepts up to 15 businesses each year to participate.

KEY PROGRAM BENEFITS 

Educational Workshops: Training sessions with skilled instructors enhance the owners’ operational efficiency and capacity to grow.

 Individual Savings Account: Participants are required to open a savings account with Capital One Bank. Savings accounts will be matched 2:1 upon successful completion of the program. (Max. $2000)

 

 

Mentorships and Coaches 

Participants are paired with volunteer business mentors and a financial coach to help set goals about credit, savings and debt.

 PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

* Must have actively been in business for more than one year and have a Certificate of Filing with the Texas Secretary of State’s Office.

* Must not exceed revenues of $1 million per IRS tax returns.

* Must be able to open a free business savings account with a minimum opening deposit of $100.00 at a specified Capital One Branch.
